Check out this 140 acres of native western Oklahoma grass and CRP just northeast of Buffalo, Oklahoma. Surface water is huge in NW Oklahoma and this property has the prettiest stocked pond you will find in the area, and it also has a water well near the pond and picnic/camping area. Don't let the lack of trees fool you, this area produces huge whitetails and a lot of them. There is a huge wheat field to the south and deep ravines to the north that provide feed and bedding for the deer. A local oldtimer told me he's lived in the area his whole life and the biggest deer he has ever seen walked across this property while he was checking cows, a true giant. There is a small section of CRP that brings in some income and enough grass to run a few cows. Just seven miles south of the Kansas line and seven miles east of Buffalo, this is an area with almost no pressure. Put up a tower stand or ground blind and start using those plentiful Oklahoma deer tags.
